We hope you survived the Halloween weekend, and you have recovered from the trick or treating, the Halloween parties, the stomach ache from too much candy and you have gotten past your costume fatigue.
You know what that is right? Sometime in mid-August you realized that Halloween was right around the corner, which meant dressing up for the annual Halloween party with your friends, family, whoever, and this year you really wanted to do it right! So you started thinking about your costume. Then you forgot, then about mid-September you remembered or came up with another idea and then overthought it, so you came up with a new one. Then you forgot about that until about October 1st. That is when you really buckled down on trying to decide what you wanted to be for Halloween, and then you forgot about it again until about 2 pm on October 31st, and you scrambled to put together something that was hopefully topical, funny and most importantly, easy. However, you most likely just threw on a random mask or recycled that sexy cop costume (guy or girl) for the 8th time and all that pondering and exhausting effort was for not.
But oh well, there is always next year and now that you have hopefully recovered. It is time to look forward to the next weekend’s activities, and boy oh boy, to quote ‘Step Brothers’, a movie that defined a generation, there is so much space for activities, in Scottsdale. But seriously, if you love food, wine, music and good times as much as me, you are going to be one happy camper!
Of course, we already told you about the wonderful Cooks and Corks event coming up this Friday night. That is a must attend for a great cause and a perfect way to kick off your weekend. Click here for more Cooks and Corks info.
Next up, we have what has been dubbed the “Grand Tasting.” Sounds fancy huh? The AZCentral Food & Wine Experience that is taking place this Saturday and Sunday, November 7th and 8th at Scottsdale Fashion Square in Old Town Scottsdale. Per their website, “you can enjoy unlimited samples from more than 100 global and local restaurants, wineries, and breweries and menus prepared by the best Arizona chefs. Plus, be entertained throughout the afternoon with interactive displays and exciting demonstrations, art, music and more!” Umm, yes please.
Each day they will have different samplings. So you can enjoy something different each day if you choose to double dip and why wouldn’t you?

For the North Scottsdale food, wine, music and good times lovers we have you covered as well with a little event called MIMFest, November 7th and 8th from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm. No, I did not mean to write mmmfest. Although yes, it technically could be called that since there will be tons and I mean tons of delicious food there for you to sample. The event is actually called MIMFest. What is MIM you ask? MIM stands for the Musical Instrument Museum, which is located on the ‘Fringe’ of Scottsdale on Tatum and Mayo Blvd’s. MIM’s website states that “MIMFest is a two-day outdoor music festival inspired by MIM’s commitment to celebrating musical traditions of the world. The family-friendly festival will bring together more than 20 extraordinary local, national, and international musical acts and entertainers as well as 12 food trucks serving global fare. It will be a weekend of incomparable entertainment, culture, and cuisine.” Did you read that? 12 food trucks! I told you there would be tons of delicious food to try!
