Mountain Shadows Resort in Paradise Valley has an 18-hole, par-54 short course. Every hole is a par 3, and they range from 75 to 200 yards.

The course first opened in 1961, with Jack Snyder as the architect. Forrest Richardson, who used to work for Snyder, later redesigned it completely. You can play all 18 in under three hours, or nine in about an hour and a half.

Walking is included in the green fee, and push carts are $2.50. Rusty’s, next to the course, serves breakfast and lunch.
