Whirlwind is at Wild Horse Pass on the Gila River Indian Community. It has two courses, Devil’s Claw and Cattail, both designed by Gary Panks.
The design keeps the Gila River landscape, with cottonwood, mesquite, saguaro and palo verde, native grasses and rolling ground. Whirlwind also runs golf schools that last from one to five days.
