Holy wow, it is already mid-February. Doesn’t it feel like the holidays were just here? Christmas, done. NYE, done. It’s crazy, and we just blew past not one but two significant events that kick off the year in Arizona with Barrett-Jackson and the Waste Management Phoenix Open all wrapped up. But you know what that all means?
It is time for love.
Yes, it is time for Valentine’s Day! Do you have a plan yet for dinner? Sure, the gifts, cards and flowers are important, thoughtful and appreciated. However, everyone knows that the dinner is a vital part of the Valentine’s Day celebration of love. I mean, who doesn’t love food? But where do you start? How do you pick the perfect restaurant? What if you procrastinate? Will they have reservations? So must stress right? Well, not this year. Why do you ask?
Because this year, Valentine’s Day lands on a Sunday. Why is that important? Well, if it landed on say a Tuesday then that is it. You have one day to get it right. One day for the perfect gift, one day for the flowers and most importantly, one day for the vital Valentine’s Day dinner. That is a lot of stress to roll into one day. However, with it landing on a Sunday, you get to be creative. It basically means that you have all weekend to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I am not saying that you need to go overboard and make it a whole weekend thing. No, that is crazy talk. I am just saying that you don’t necessarily have to fight for reservations and have the pressure of doing a nice dinner on Sunday night. You can do dinner on Friday or Saturday nights as well and then just spend Sunday doing whatever you both want to do without that pressure. Doesn’t that sound nice? Plus this year we have a bonus three-day weekend with President’s Day on Monday. Thanks, America!
Now, that I have showed you how you can alleviate some Valentine’s Day stress. Here are some suggestions for your Valentine’s Day dinner:

The Herb Box

Details: We love the SouthBridge location of the The Herb Box. It is a romantic spot right on the waterfront in Old Town Scottsdale and it is nice enough to sit out side. Bonus, they have live music. Double bonus, they are offering a shared plate + a bottle of wine for $20 if you decide to venture out on Sunday! That is a deal! Check out our Video Review.

Details: With dishes like dishes like seared scallops with saffron parsnip silk, sherry lardons, crispy brussel petals, and marcona and white chocolate. It is really hard to go wrong here, just put your trust in them and enjoy. They are doing a special one day only Valentine’s Day delightfully indulgent menu that begins with a champagne toast and amuse bouche of chocolate bites followed by the three-course dinner. After dessert, chocolate and sea salt-covered strawberries serve as mignardises to seal the deal! $100++, includes three-course dinner. Reservations required. But don’t fret if you don’t get reservations on Sunday. This place is amazing the other 6 days of the week as well.

Details: Pane-e-Vino is a personal favorite of the team at ScottsdaleRestaurants, com. Perfect atmosphere, delightful menu and of course, plenty of bread and wine! How can you go wrong really? Pane is the perfect spot for the North Scottsdale residents or anyone else really looking to make the drive. Trust us it is worth it. Check out our Video Review.
