For this week’s video review, we visited a brand new spot in North Scottsdale called The Chicken Scoop. Located in the Scottsdale Promenade shopping center on the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. The Chicken Scoop is a unique and exciting addition to North Scottsdale. They serve down-home comfort food in the form of chicken salad. But not just any chicken salad, chicken salad with a twist.
The Chicken Scoop features fourteen unique flavors – BBQ, Buffalo, Spicy Thai, Pesto and Jalapeño Popper to name a few. They can be served in a single, double or triple scoop on their own or as a sandwich or salad. They also offer them served on Toasties – hot, grilled sandwiches with melted cheese served on sourdough, honey wheat, 9-grain bread. It is a brilliant concept! The best part, you can dine in, take some scoops home and they will even cater your event.
In the video review, Chris and I wore green shirts and we tried 75% of the menu. Some of the standout scoops were the POPPER, the SPICY THAI, and the ORIGINAL. We also enjoyed a salad, and a couple Toasties, the MELTED SCOOP and the BEEF & CHEDDAR. Everything is made fresh daily with locally-grown produce and a generous serving of Southern charm, and it shows in every bite. There is a bonus; all meals also come with a complimentary dessert “puddin’ scoop”. The puddin’ scoop should not be overlooked or slept on; it is phenomenal.
We hope you like the video review, try The Chicken Scoop for yourself and be sure to tell them that we sent you.
