For this week’s video review, we hit up yet another new Scottsdale restaurant. This particular restaurant is called the Crab & Mermaid. Located just north of 3rd Avenue on the west side of Scottsdale Road. They sell themselves as “An Unforgettable yet Casual Seafood Dining Experience in Old Town Scottsdale!” and we do not disagree. Crab & Mermaid is a breath of fresh ocean air. I say that because they have some of the freshest seafood that we have ever had in Scottsdale. Add that to the laid back yet lively beachy atmosphere and you will think that you walked right into an ocean side restaurant right here in Scottsdale.
In the video review, we tried a couple of their specialty cocktails and some of that amazing seafood. Starting with some Shrimp Ceviche, Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp and you know that we had to tackle some fresh Oysters from their Raw Bar. Can you believe that Miguel had never had oysters before? We had to change that and these we perfect for his first experience. So unbelievably fresh. Then we moved on to the main course entrees with some Fish n’ Chips and a New England Lobster Roll from their East Coast selections and Seafood Scampi from their Classics menu options. We can’t wait to go back in to try some of their Gulf & West Coast options. So much good food. Lastly, you know that we topped it all off with a show-stopping dessert called the Bananas Foster Trifle.
If you are looking for a great seafood spot in Old Town Scottsdale, we highly recommend that you visit the Crab & Mermaid. You will not be disappointed.
