This week we made our way back to Old Town Scottsdale to visit El Hefe, located on Indian Plaza and Saddlebag Trail. You may have heard about this particular Scottsdale restaurant before for their wild Sunday Fundays. Which, we can’t lie, they are awesome, and we may have partaken in the Funday festivities a time or two.
However, what brought us back today and really intrigued us was their food. Miguel and I never had eaten here before, but Chris had and swore by their tacos. So we had to try the food for ourselves, and we were not disappointed.
El Hefe recently finished a complete remodel of the restaurant that looks great. Couple that with a food and drink menu that has a little something for everyone and this Scottsdale restaurant is the complete package. Whether you are looking for a place for happy hour, a nice relaxing date night with the significant other or a spot to watch football and enjoy one of those Sunday Fundays that we mentioned. El Hefe has you covered.
In the video review, we sample some of their great cocktails. Pro-Tip: The Chicano Loco is the way to go! We enjoy wayyyy to much of their awesome menu. Seriously, we were stuffed. From the Carne Asada Fries to the Queso Fundido Dip and of course Chips Y Salsa to start. Then we sampled some entree items like the Hefe Hamburgueso, Fajitas Chingon and, of course, some of those Chris famous tacos just to name a few of the things that we sampled. All of them were great, and we left super full and with happy bellies! Winner of the night though was the housemade fresh flour tortillas. Holy cow these were amazing! I want some now! Nom.
Please check out our El Hefe video review. Then make sure you visit them for yourself and enjoy a margarita and make sure that their housemade tortillas are part of your order. Bonus Pro-Tip: Queso Fundido Dip!

  1. Love the look of the open layout! That Chicano Loco margarita looked pretty amazing. Gotta go give them a shot some day.
