Despite the name, Cave Creek Golf Course is in north Phoenix, not the town of Cave Creek. The city built it in 1983 on a reclaimed landfill. A creek and wide, rolling fairways run through the course.

The city calls it its most popular course, and its men’s club is the largest in the state. It’s a Phoenix municipal course, so walking rates are published and there’s a restaurant on site.
