For this week’s video review, we visited a brand new spot named Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows. Located in the Town of Paradise Valley on Lincoln Drive near 56th Street. You are probably asking yourself – “What’s the story behind the name?” Great question. Glad you asked. Hearth (pronounced harth) in historical and modern usage is a brick- or stone-lined fireplace, with or without an oven, used for heating and originally also used for cooking food. In this case, it looks awesome, has an oven an
d is used for cooking food. The ’61 pays tribute to 1961, the year the Town of Paradise Valley was incorporated.
Walking into Mountain Shadows, you will be in awe of the stunning boutique resort. As a result, you may book a room before you even enjoy a meal. Then as you make your way to Hearth ’61, you will immediately notice the floor-to-ceiling glass walls that give you a great view of the pools and Camelback Mountain. From there you will see the spacious patio, open bar, open kitchen and elegant living room.

Executive Chef Charles Wiley and his team have created a menu offering ingredient-driven American cuisine made with time-honored flavor pairings. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu will constantly be evolving with a daily featured hearth-roast. One unique thing to note, hearth-roasted dishes stay in the same vessel from oven to table. Therefore they come out hot and mouth-wateringly delicious. Hearth ’61’s creativeness does not stop with the food. They will also feature an innovative and ingredient-driven cocktail program as well as local beer & wine offerings.
In the video review, we enjoyed the stunning views, multiple cocktails, appetizers & of course a couple of menu items From the Hearth! In conclusion, enjoy the video review and then make sure that you give Hearth ’61 at Mountain Shadows a try for yourself. Maybe even make a staycation out of it? Comment below your favorite menu item from the video review for a chance to win a gift card.
