Pricing: $$ (about $15–20 per meal) · Ambiance: Brewery with a huge dog-friendly backyard · Food: Wings, burgers, sandwiches · Drinks: House-brewed beer, NA beers, mocktails

OHSO Brewery has spots all over the Valley, but the downtown Gilbert one, at 335 N Gilbert Rd #102, is the one we keep going back to. It’s a brewery and restaurant with a big backyard, and it’s about as pet friendly as it gets. If you want to bring the dog, catch a game, or just hang out for a while, this is the place.

Atmosphere

The real draw here is outside. The outdoor area is huge. There’s a boxcar-style bar built out of a shipping container, a giant screen for watching sports with lounge chairs to relax in, cornhole, and an arcade for the kids. It’s a big open space where people roam around and hang out. Pets are allowed throughout, so it’s a great place to bring your dog. We like the downtown Gilbert vibe of this location.

What We Ordered

  • Wings: Really good.
  • Brisket sandwich: Really good, one of our favorites here.
  • Burger and other sandwiches: We’ve had several over multiple visits, and they’ve been good.

Drinks

They brew their own beer and have a good assortment of custom drinks. We don’t drink, but they had several NA beers and mocktails to choose from, which we appreciated.

Standouts

The brisket sandwich and the wings, plus that backyard.

Price & Value

We usually spend about $15–20 per person for a meal. For good food and a backyard you can hang out in all afternoon, that’s a solid value.

The Verdict

If you’ve got a dog, kids, or a game you want to watch outside, OHSO Gilbert is an easy pick in downtown Gilbert. The food is solid, there are real options for non-drinkers, and the backyard makes it a place you can spend the whole afternoon.
