Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row is at 323 N Gilbert Rd, at Gilbert Road and Vaughn Avenue in Downtown Gilbert. It’s part restaurant, part country bar and part live music venue, named for the country singer. Come for burgers and a band, not a quiet dinner.
This is a high-energy place. They play country music, host live bands, and the dance floor gets used for line dancing. Daytime and early evening are more of a casual restaurant, and the room turns into nightlife as it gets later, especially on weekends. It goes 21 and over after 9 p.m., so bring the kids for lunch or brunch, not a late dinner. There are VIP tables you can reserve, along with regular dining reservations.
The kitchen calls itself a Southern-inspired American gastropub. Starters include bourbon glazed wings, fried pickles, a giant Bavarian pretzel with whiskey cheese and spinach artichoke dip. There are burgers (including a Whiskey Burger with bacon, honey roasted jalapeño and whiskey BBQ sauce), sliders sold individually, and entrées like beer can chicken, maple salmon, Creole fettuccine and fish and chips. On weekends there’s a Backyard Brunch with live acoustic music. Prices on the posted menu put most entrées and burgers in the high teens.
Monday through Wednesday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (weekend opening times vary between listings, so check before a brunch run). There’s a weekday happy hour, and street parking around the Heritage District.
Groups, birthdays and anyone who wants to make a night of it with live music and dancing. It’s one of the few Downtown Gilbert spots open until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. If you want to hear each other talk, go at lunch or for weekend brunch.
